Battlefield: A Fight to Survive

Are war has been going on between two nation for over 50 years. You start out as a new recruit in the army. You have been fed propaganda all your life. You believe that the war is a great adventure and that your side is completely flawless and noble. You become a standard soldier and are fighting as a new recruit. You are under a colonel’s command and fight with your squad who becomes your good friends. After singlehandedly defending an important base from incoming forces you are promoted to a commanding rank. You meet an important, main general who you regard as a great hero. With your new position as a commanding officer you begin to work on "specialized" secret opt missions. Through the new missions this new position you begin to realize that this war is not so heroic and that your side is not as "pure” as you thought. Finally after being assigned a mission where you must kill all the innocent civilians in a village and slaughter a deserting solider on your own side, you realize how evil and corrupt some people in this war are you never suspect that it is anything other than a few corrupt low-ranking officers. You vow to spend the rest of your life promoting peace. You go on a tour doing just that. You gain quite a following and cause quite an uproar in both nations. One day you begin to start an inspirational speech with a large audience, when suddenly a shot rings out. A panic soon ensues as you slowly grab your heart and feel a bullet hole. You fall to the ground and soon die. Through this chaos no one sees a lone figure leaving the scene with a sniper in his hand. He goes to a forest where he meets with another shady figure. “Did you complete the assignment?” asks the newcomer. “Affirmative”, replies the other. “Good, the war will continue,” replies the other. Out of the shadows you glimpse his face. It is the leading general that is your hero and promoted you, he has hired someone to kill you so that the war continues.
